Does your computer respond slowly as you browse the web? If you've upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, a possible cause of the browser slow-down may be the built-in Phishing Filter.
While the new feature is intended to protect against online fraud and personal data theft, it has many users suffering from bogged down PCs, stemming from how the filter evaluates multi-frame pages for fraud indicators.
But, have no fear, there is a fix.
You overwhelmed us with the download of Beta One, the final tally ending with 330,337 downloads!
Now it's time to update to Beta Two, which is ready and waiting on The Beta Page (after login to the Beta-Applications page).
Keep the feedback coming, and each Friday we'll release a new Beta for you. Thanks for your participation in the process!
From the very beginning, an essential part of our company policy has been the commitment to providing accurate information about threats to your privacy and security, so that YOU can make informed decisions about how to handle possible threats.
Along with the extensive analysis and strict requirements that we have in place when objects are identified as spyware and malware in our Detection Database, we have always believed in leaving the door open for direct dialogue with adware vendors (authors/distributors of what is commonly referred to as malware and spyware).
Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes - like, for instance, what it took for that beautiful GUI and redesigned engine of the Ad-Aware 2007 Beta to make it to your PC? Well, we have a great team here at Lavasoft that made that possible.
Our team has been working hard for months, and gave a coordinated push the night of our public Beta release, in order to finalize the last pieces of the release.
Take a look below at the final celebration and a few of the effects of a marathon night!
Thank you for your overwhelming response to the Ad-Aware 2007 Beta, and for your patience.
We've done our part to optimize the process, and we'd like you to return to the Beta-Applications page in the Security Center to log-in with your e-mail and password to enter The Beta Page. You will find everything you need on The Beta Page including the Beta download, instructions, bug report forms, an area to submit your ideas, a beta forum, features, and more!
Wow! We have received an overwhelming response and interest in the Ad-Aware 2007 Beta. Nearly 50,000 people had already downloaded the Beta in a matter of hours after release. Since we currently have 127,000 registered beta testers, we realize there are a number of you out there who still need to download the Beta.
Now for the moment you have all been waiting for ...
We are proud to announce that the Ad-Aware 2007 Beta has arrived!
For the 120,000 + beta testers that have registered to be among the first to try the all-new Ad-Aware, you can now download the Beta by using your registration information to log in to the Beta - Applications page in the Lavasoft Security Center (and keep in mind, it's not too late to register as a Lavasoft beta tester, if you have not already done so).
